When working with clients, it's very often you get a lot of misunderstandings, and sometimes even confusion, but some of these clients, take that 'misunderstanding' to a whole new level. It's not too common to get a client who knows nothing, and assumes to know everything, but when it happens, it happens on an extreme level.

Cirque du Soleil has a very respectable reputation to be mind-blowingly crazy when it comes to their show concepts, characters, makeup, scenes, etc.. In my latest design for a new upcoming show, my goal was to create my own concept which would fit their already amazing lineup. I present to you, Kymara. (Conceptual Design)

I won this award for achieving the Highest Overall GPA (grade point average) in my Graphic Design course for the last 2 years. The certificate and scholarship was given and donated by Mary Flannigan Hockin, a wonderful individual with a passion much like my own.

2010 Positive Posters - Australia | Click to view...
The competition is held annually between July and October. Designers are given two months to create and submit a positive design that responds to the theme of that year. An exhibition is held of the top 30 posters, and the winner chosen by a group of international judges. 4000 copies of the winning poster are then printed and pasted all over the streets of Melbourne, Australia. And a few sent off around the world!

I submitted my Hillbilly Beans packaging in early June, and was chosen among 309 winners world-wide to be a semi-finalist. Unfortunetly I wasn't among the 2 chosen to proceed to the finalist round. I will most certainly try again next year!
